What is Static Pressure?

Static Pressure is a measure of resistance to airflow as a fan pushes or pulls air through a duct. It is measured in inches of water gauge, such as 0.1” w.g. to show the resistance is equal to raising a column of water 0.1” or one-tenth of an inch.
